Happy New Year! On January first, people all over the country set goals and try to spend the year improving in that area. Some of the most common goals are to get fit, lose weight, volunteer in the community or take a trip. With all these good intentions though, many resolutions do not are not reached. Don't let foot pain be your setback!
Losing weight, working out, travel and community involvement all involve a lot of time on your feet. When people start new routines, foot problems can arise or be aggravated. However, most people don't realize how easy it can be to alleviate pain. One of the things I love most about being a podiatrist is that patients frequently come through our door with pain and leave without pain. Other times, it's a simple matter of exercise or some medical equipment to get patients back on track. Even the most complex cases can be improved to increase quality of life. As your setting your New Year's resolutions, don't let foot problems hold you back anymore. Let's get them resolved!
